What to Pack:
Pioneer Attire for Men:
-
2 pairs of pioneer style pants – Dockers/canvas type, light colors are best. No denim, camouflage, or sports type pants.

2 Long Sleeve, button up shirts - plain colored and avoid logos
-
Wide brimmed straw or felt hat - No baseball caps or beanies
-
1 Belt or suspenders
-
If you choose to wear a T-shirt under your long sleeve shirt, make sure lettering and patterns are covered up.
Pioneer Attire for Young Women:
-
2 complete pioneer outfits, light colors are best. An outfit would either be: A complete pioneer dress about 6 inches from the ground in length. No denim. OR
-
A long pioneer skirt about 6 inches from the ground or mid-calf with a modest long sleeve top. (No T-shirts)
-
If you choose to wear a T-shirt under your long sleeve shirt, make sure lettering and patterns are covered up.

2 Long sleeve button up shirts if wearing a skirt

1-2 Pairs of pantaloons, scrubs, or leggings
-
1 Apron (optional)
-
1 Bonnet or Wide Brimmed Hat - No baseball caps or beanies

Personal Items:

Work gloves – 1 pair, warm soft, leather or cheap work gloves with non-slip grips for handcart pulling.

Rain Poncho – VERY IMPORTANT

Shoes – 2 pairs (broken in shoes)

Jacket – lightweight but warm or a sweatshirt. Limit logos on sweatshirts please

Socks – 5 pairs (2-3 should be wool, liners are optional)

Underclothing – 3 sets

Small flashlight – with new batteries

Sunglasses

Large Ziploc bags or plastic grocery bags – to store clean or dirty clothes

Small backpack/daypack

Reusable sturdy water bottle/hydration pack

Small Book of Mormon

Small comb or brush

Toothbrush, paste & floss

Deodorant

Hand Sanitizer

Chafing Powder (if you think you will need it)

Wet wipes (for hygiene)

Sunblock SPF above 30

Sanitary supplies for young women

Medicine as needed (Prescription meds must be turned into the stake medical team the morning of departure. They will have a check in table in the foyer of the stake center.)

Insect repellant with DEET 30 strong or higher

Lip balm/Chapstick with SPF
What Not to Pack:
Personal music and players, game systems of any kind, other electronic devices, lotions, aftershave, hairspray, gel, makeup or perfumes (they attract bugs that bite).
The stake will provide each participant with a 5 gallon bucket:

Making padded seats are optional, ask your ward leaders.
What to pack inside your 5 gallon bucket:

Other sets of Pioneer clothes (wear one set to the church for when we leave.)

What to bring to the Stake Center on Friday, June 23rd from 6-8 p.m.:
Waterproof bag (Provided by the Stake). Items in bold will go in the waterproof bag.

Sleeping bag – warm, good quality.

Small pillow

Sleeping pad – small pad that can fit in garbage bag with sleeping bag and pillow

Warm Pajamas – 1 set, modest, to sleep in. Limit logos on pajamas. It will cool off at night.

Light blanket - if desired
